How can Project Managers reassign descendants to new parent projects?

In the 7.x series, Project Managers have the ability to rearrange their projects within the overall project/client hierarchy in one of two ways:

  1. Modify projects individually by clicking on the names of the projects and selecting the new parent from the Parent dropdown list
  2. Select several projects at once and reassign to a new parent project using batch modification located below the project search results

Both features are accessed via the Projects tab under Management.

How can Project Managers make changes to more than one project at once?

If Project Managers want to edit several projects at once, they can select the projects and click on the "Compare and Modify" button. This pulls up all of the fields for each of the selected projects side-by-side in the user interface. Project Managers can then tab through each of the fields (i.e., Status) to populate or change values.

If Project Managers want to make the same change to a set of projects (i.e., assign them all to a new group), they can use batch modification located below the project search results to implement the change. Batch modification options include: group assignments (new or change/removal), status changes, and parent project assignments.
