Update - How can I set the Expense Entry screen as the "start" screen for my users?
In Timesheet version 7.0 and later, Users who are assigned to both Time Entry and Expense Entry screens are automatically routed to the Time Entry screen the first time they login. However, the Timesheet system "remembers" the last entry screen that the User views for future logins. For example, if a user is entering expenses and logs out after viewing the Expense Entry screen, (s)he will be automatically routed to Expense Entry the next time (s)he logs in.
If you create a custom user role with access to Expense Entry while denying access to Time Entry, the custom user will be automatically routed to Expense Entry upon login. Like the example above, future logins will be determined by the last entry screen viewed. However, this "expense only" role will not have the option to view Time Entry if it is not included in the role.
Update - In Timesheet, what is the procedure for handling an employee who is leaving my company?
There are three main actions you need to take in Timesheet version 7.0 when an employee is leaving your company. They are:
- Change the user's password to prevent him/her from logging in to Timesheet
- Submit all of the user's open sheets and approve all of the submitted time, expense and mileage sheets
- Remove the user from all of his/her assigned approval plans by modifying his/her user profile under Management->Users->User Management (time, expense and mileage)
An optional fourth step, hiding the user, should only be taken if you do not wish to be able to view and report upon that user's historical time records.
