End Of The Year Backups

As December plows along, soon to crash into January and thereby leave 2004 in the dust, it might just be a good time to check to see if you've got a good, reliable and recent backup of your Timesheet data.

Details on how to make a backup using Timesheet's internal backup utility, backupdb can be found in our online helpdesk.

So look around and see if you need to take the time to get that data all wrapped up in bows. Remember, a good & recent backup file can be a lifesaver!

What do I need to do to make sure Timesheet will work with Windows XP Service Pack 2?

Windows XP includes the Windows Firewall, which is inactive by default. Installing XP Service Pack 2 activates this firewall. The firewall's default configuration stops other computers from accessing any web content served by this computer, including Timesheet.

In order for client computers to be able to connect to the Timesheet installation on an XP machine with Service Pack 2, you will need to make some configuration changes to the Windows Firewall. There is only 1 change that is required, but there are several ways in which you can make this change.

A complete walkthrough of the process is available on our XP SP2 page.
