How do I return a previously approved timesheet to the user to finish an incomplete time period?

Once a sheet is submitted and approved only an Admin can go in and edit the timesheet. If you require the user to make changes post-approval, follow the steps below to return the timesheet to the user:

Logged in as an Admin, go to Timekeeping and search for the user. Select the user and the correct time period, and then click on the Save Corrections button. After saving you can close that screen and go back to the main Admin screen where you will see that the timesheet has been re-submitted for approval.

At this point you can reject the timesheet, which re-opens the timesheet to the user. The user can then finish out the period and re-submit at the proper time.

I am an Admin and I have lost/forgotten my password. How can I get a new one?

If you have forgotten the administrator password on a Windows-based Journyx Timesheet server, you can create a new Administrator logon following this procedure:

  1. Log onto the Windows machine as the install user (often this is Administrator).
  2. Go to a command prompt. You can get there by going to the START menu and choosing RUN. In the text box type CMD and hit the ENTER or RETURN key.
  3. From the command prompt, type 'cd %wthome%\jwt\bin' without the enclosing ' marks.
  4. At the jwt\bin> prompt, type 'addfull u newguy admin' without the enclosing ' marks.
  5. Assuming that the Timesheet server is running, and you are, in fact, logged onto the system as the install user, this will create a new Administrator logon to the system named "newguy".
  6. Go to the Journyx Timesheet application and logon as 'newguy' with password 'newguy' without the enclosing ' marks.
  7. Change the password to something new.
  8. Choose PASSWORDS from the System Administration page.
  9. From the drop-down menu, select the original Administrator and change the password to what you wish it to be.
  10. Click the LOGOUT button on the toolbar.
  11. Log back in as the original Administrator.
  12. Choose USERS from the system administration page.
  13. Check the box next to the newguy logon and delete that user.
