Can I pause my Stopwatch timer if I'm interrupted while timing an activity?
For users who have access to the Stopwatch timer in version 7.6, new features allow you to pause the timer and start new activities at the same time that the previous activity is stopped. Both of these new features apply to Stopwatch screens that are configured to accept time entry information when a new activity is started ("first punch").
- The Pause/Resume buttons allow users to temporarily stop and restart the timer without the necessity of selecting time entry details a second time.
- The Start/Start New button allow users to start a new activity which automatically stops the previous one that was running.
If you have access to a Stopwatch screen in version 7.6 and can't see the Pause and Start New buttons, talk to your Timesheet administrator about changing your screen to accept time entry screen details from the punch in/first punch.
How can I manage my employees' request for time off?
While previous versions of Timesheet included automated leave request handling, version 7.6 includes new management tools for searching through existing requests and approving requests via the calendar interface.
Approvers/managers can now search for leave requests and filter results based on date ranges, users, pay types and request status. So, a simple search for pending requests will display all requests in need of approval for a selected date range. The search results can be printed directly from the browser when paper reporting is required.
Additionally, approvers/managers can view request details by hovering over a day in the monthly calendar view and can approve/decline requests from the weekly and daily calendar views in the Leave Management Calendar.
The My Leave Requests and My Leave Calendar tabs keep managers' personal time off requests separate from the groups they manage.
