How can I stop approval email notifications from being sent on weekends?
In Timesheet version 7.0 and later, you have the option to disable approval email notifications that get sent on weekends. For example, an employee whose time period ends on a Friday and does not submit his timesheet for approval until Monday will only get a single late notice on Monday (as opposed to having 3 late notices in his inbox from Saturday, Sunday and Monday).
To disable weekend notifications, go to Management → Approval Plans and click on the name of the approval plan you want to edit. You can then expand the table for Approval Email Configuration and set the "Send late notices on weekends" setting at the bottom of the table to no.
How can I sort project search results on the Project Management screen to show the hierarchical project tree?
Go to Management → Projects → Project Management to view the following options for displaying part/all of your project tree:
- Click on the column header "Tree" to sort all project search results based on their order in the hierarchy
- Click on a yellow arrow icon next to a selected project to display 1 level of projects below it
- NEW in 7.1 - Click on a blue arrow icon next to a selected project to display all levels of projects below it
