How do I upgrade to Journyx Timesheet version 7.0?

There are many new changes and improvements in Timesheet 7.0. The biggest changes that you will see have been made to the GUI, or user interface. It is because of these major changes that Journyx HIGHLY recommends that you install Timesheet 7.0 in a test environment so that you can get familiar with the new navigation in Timesheet 7.0. Journyx does not recommend placing Timesheet 7.0 into production until after you have fully learned the new interface and are comfortable with it. You may also want to create an implementation plan so that your end users are trained on the new GUI changes before switching over.

If you would like to preview version 7.0 on one of your own test servers, you can download the free version from the Journyx web site at www.journyx.com and request a temporary test license key that includes all your standard features. Click on the link below to access the online help desk and view instructions for installing 7.0 on a test server.

If you would prefer to preview version 7.0 on a Journyx test server, contact the Sales Department to set up a demo site with a backup of your production data. You can contact your representative for demo sites, temporary keys and upgrade pricing by sending email to sales@journyx.com or calling +1 800.755.9878 (ext.2).

New in 7.0: NEW - How can my administrators and users enter data in languages other than English?

Timesheet version 7.0 includes support for international character entry. Version 7.0 allows you to choose the character set for data entry at the database level. In any single installation it is now possible to enter any characters that are supported by the selected character set in the database. Only one character set may be selected per installation, but many standard character sets include support for more than one language. For more information on what is supported and how to set it up, see this page under "Character sets, accents, 'special characters, etc.": http://www.journyx.com/support/externaldb.html.
