New in 7.0: How can I create a new user or project using a template or another user's/project's settings?

Timesheet version 7.0 includes a short cut for creating new Users, Projects, Field Values and Custom Fields. In the top right corner of the creation screen for each of these items there is a search field that allows you to select an existing item from which to copy the fields and settings to the new item. For example, selecting an existing User populates the new User's default and custom fields with the same information (with the exception of the Username which must be unique for each user). Once the fields have been copied, you can edit them to be specific to the the new User and click Save to create the new User. Projects, Field Values and Custom Fields work in the same manner.

New in 7.0: What options does Timesheet offer for making prior period corrections to approved sheets?

Timesheet includes a "Prior Period Corrections" feature that allows users with the "Corrections" role ability (Administrators by default) to add new or corrective entries to sheets approved for a past period. In previous releases, new and corrective entries were automatically routed back through the user's standard approval processes after the entries were saved. Timesheet version 7.0 includes a new option under Configuration -> System Settings -> Approval Plans that allows you to choose how prior period corrections should behave. You have the option to preserve the current behavior and force resubmission for approval. You also have the option to disable prior period corrections entirely. The last option allows you to automatically approve all new and corrective records. This means that the entries are added as approved records when they are saved. In all cases where prior period corrections are used, the new entries are tracked separately from the initially approved sheet, and all the original records are retained.
