Since our earliest days we've offered Journyx Timesheet as both a regular download-and-install-locally application and as a solution that we host for you on our own servers.

That second way of using Timesheet has been called by a number of names since we started offering it all the way back in 1999, including: Application Service Provider (ASP), Hosted Software and On Demand Software. These days it's often referred to as the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model. But down here in Texas we're just calling our product Timesheet Online.

Why Choose Timesheet Online?

Ease of setup. You get all of the functionality of Timesheet without having to install it. You don't have to worry about which machine has enough hard drive space for the application. Or the database. Or enough horsepower to handle every last one of your users hitting it at 5:00 on Friday, when timesheets are due. When your IT staff is on their 3rd margarita. Heck, you don't even have to involve your IT staff at all if you don't want to.

Peace of mind. Security updates and antivirus software are a headache to keep up to date, especially when you're talking about a machine that hosts your critical business applications. We're so serious about this topic that we're not even going to make a wisecrack here.

Timesheet Online is exactly the same application as good ol' locally-installed Timesheet, so you can take advantage of our MS-Project and QuickBooks integrations just as if you were running Timesheet on your own server. Better still, if you have hardcore integration needs, Timesheet Online plays nicely with the jxAPI, our SOAP/XML interface for Timesheet. So the sky's pretty much the limit when it comes to integrations and Timesheet Online.
