Companies agree to co-market industry's first time tracking applications for wireless Internet devices

SAN DIEGO, California, USA — December 18, 2000 — Wireless Knowledge, a Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT) and QUALCOMM Inc. (NASDAQ: QCOM) company, today announced that it has been selected by Journyx, the market leader in web-based workforce management solutions, to create wireless versions of Journyx's workforce management applications. The combined efforts of the two companies will enable the use of Journyx's suite of workforce management solutions on mobile phones, personal digital assistants (PDAs) and a wide variety of other Internet-equipped wireless devices. In addition to joint development activities, Wireless Knowledge and Journyx have also partnered to co-market the new mobile workforce management applications.

"Wireless Knowledge established itself as an early pioneer in the wireless data market by developing core technology that enables mobile workers to wirelessly access their most critical data," said David Whalen, Vice President of Sales and Services at Wireless Knowledge. "Today, we are using our longstanding expertise to bring to market additional wireless Internet applications for the mobile workforce. By leveraging our core technology to enable wireless access to applications such as Journyx Work Optimizer, we are continuing our commitment to deliver high-value tools to mobile workers." The wireless versions of Journyx's applications are targeted for the rapidly growing mobile communications and computing industries. International Data Corporation estimates that there will be over one billion wireless devices in use by 2003. Of those devices, it is expected that 40 percent will be used for wireless data applications such as Journyx TimesheetTM and Journyx Work OptimizerTM.

"The Internet economy often demands that geographically distributed teams work around the clock and around the world," said Bill Leake, President of Journyx. "By offering wireless access to Work Optimizer and our future mobile workforce management solutions, our customers will benefit from increased convenience, flexibility and productivity. This agreement with Wireless Knowledge enables us to round out the mobile capabilities of our family of business-to-business web applications."

Journyx provides innovative web-based e-workforce management solutions, including applications for tracking time, costs, expenses and projects. Users simply log onto the site to gain access to their corporate system to create, submit, review and gain approval for their timesheets and expense reports through an automated system.
