Journyx Announces Compatibility with Windows 2000
Web-based time & expense software provider ships first application in its class for latest version of Microsoft's popular platform
AUSTIN, Texas, USA — February 28, 2000 — Journyx, the market share leader in web-based applications for managing a distributed workforce, today announced its award-winning Journyx Timesheet product is now fully supported for all of Microsoft's Windows® 2000 operating systems.
"Recognizing the commitment our customers have made -- and continue to make -- in running Journyx Timesheet software in the Windows environment, Journyx will strive to support these new operating system offerings as they become available," said Curt Finch, CEO and President of Journyx.
Extensive testing of Windows® 2000 Professional, Windows® 2000 Server, and Windows® 2000 Advanced Server took place over the last several months on pre-released versions of the operating systems. Testing was completed with Microsoft's final versions, released on February 17th, over the last week allowing Journyx to make the official announcement.
Journyx plans to participate in Microsoft's Certified for Windows 2000 Application program, in which applications are required to meet rigorous technical specifications and undergo an independently verified testing process. The company anticipates certification by the end of the year.
