In the course you have to remember 10 'bodyparts' in order, listed below. When you remember the names each gives you a sound. This gives you an unforgettable conversion table in your head for converting numbers to sounds and back and therefore you can convert large numbers to picture words, like 40 to rice and 53 to lamb and 375327 to megalomaniac.

I typically split things into 3 digit or 2 digit numbers.

If I have to remember the phone number 5048186 for example I first split it into the pieces 504, 81, 86. This gives me the words laser, fat, and fish . Then I imagine a laser beam burning through a fat fish and the face of the person whose name I have to remember. Something like that, with lots of action and emotion. You'll never forget it if you have vivid pictures, lots of action, and some emotional engagement.
