Journyx is a web based company, so maintenance and support of our infrastructure and sites is critical. Individuals in this position will be helping to maintain and advance those systems. We requre a heavy-lift POSIX resource.

Job Responsibilities

Maintaining dynamic web sites.
Maintain office phones, workstations, etc.
Prototype, test/evaluate and deploy software and hardware solutions for clustering, DB replication, High Availability.
Install web sites with packaged software.
Maintain backup and disaster recovery plans.
Write and maintain system administration tools, systems, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge of one or more of Perl, Python, shell scripts (ksh, bash or sh).

Willing to perform all new script development in Python.

Longstanding and documented experience with Unix environment.

Solid experience in Windows environment.

Willingness to work off-hours on a frequent basis.

Willingness to be on call 24X7.
